RetirementCalcPro is a free educational tool. This page explains who is behind the content, how we handle potential financial relationships, and exactly what our current affiliate status is — including brands we do not currently have a relationship with.
Who Publishes This Site
RetirementCalcPro is owned and operated by Numerlyn LLC. We are not a bank, broker-dealer, insurance company, or registered investment advisor. We do not manage money, sell securities, or provide individualized financial advice. Our content is written and reviewed in-house for accuracy and plain-language clarity before publication.
Editorial Independence
Our calculator math and educational content are not influenced by whether a company has, or ever develops, a paid relationship with this site. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable mentions, and we do not adjust calculator defaults, results, or "recommended" outcomes based on any commercial relationship. If that ever changes for a specific placement, it will be labeled clearly at the point where you see it — not buried in this page alone.
Current Affiliate & Advertising Status
As of this writing, RetirementCalcPro has no live affiliate links and has not joined any affiliate or advertising program. Any dollar amounts, "$" symbols, or product mentions you see are for illustration only and are not tied to any paid placement. Before we activate any program, we independently verify its current public status. Here is what we found the last time we checked, and how each brand would be treated if a relationship is ever established:
| Brand | Verified status | Our current plan |
|---|---|---|
| Betterment | Active public affiliate program confirmed through its official program-manager listing. | The most likely first candidate if we add an affiliate relationship — only after independent re-verification of current terms and a conspicuous, adjacent disclosure. |
| Empower (formerly associated with Personal Capital) | Active public affiliate program confirmed, but qualification is tied to a high linked-asset threshold (referred users must connect at least $100,000 in external accounts). | Treated as a poor fit for a general beginner audience unless clearly disclosed and never presented as a "next step" for every visitor. |
| Fidelity | No public publisher affiliate program was found — only a customer/friends-and-family referral path, not a content-publisher enrollment route. | Not used for revenue. Any mentions of Fidelity on this site are educational reference only, not a paid placement. |
| Vanguard | No public publisher affiliate program or payout schedule was found. | Same as above — educational reference only, never a paid placement, unless a written publisher arrangement is independently confirmed in the future. |
Affiliate program terms, payouts, and eligibility change without notice. This table reflects a point-in-time check and is not a promise that any program remains available or unchanged when you read this.
Our FTC Disclosure Commitment
If and when we do add a paid link, product comparison, sponsored placement, or lead form to this site, we commit to the following, consistent with FTC guidance on clear and conspicuous disclosure:
- A plain-language disclosure will appear at or immediately before the affiliate link or CTA itself — not only in a footer, this page, or our Terms of Use.
- The disclosure will use language along the lines of: "We may earn a commission if you open an account through this link. This does not change your calculator result or cost you anything extra."
- We will never place a lead-generation form, adviser-matching CTA, or product comparison before you see your calculator result — the calculation always comes first.
How We Would Evaluate Any Future Affiliate Program
Before joining any affiliate or advertising program, we check, at minimum:
- Whether the program is genuinely open to new publishers right now, verified on the company's own official page rather than a third-party directory listing alone.
- Whether the product is a reasonable fit for a general, beginner-level retirement audience — not just a high-commission product that happens to be available.
- Whether the qualification terms (like Empower's linked-asset threshold) could mislead an average visitor if presented without context.
- Whether we can place the required disclosure directly next to the offer, not several clicks away.
If a program fails any of these checks, we do not add it — regardless of the payout.
Not investment advice. Nothing on this page, or anywhere on RetirementCalcPro, is a recommendation to open an account with any specific company. Compare any financial product's current, official terms directly with the provider before making a decision.
Update Cadence
We review this disclosure page whenever we evaluate a new affiliate opportunity, and at minimum once a year even if nothing changes, so the "last updated" date at the top always reflects a real review — not just a placeholder.
